Chemist

**1. POSITION PURPOSE (RESPONSIBILITY)**

Responsible for all technical activities related to raw material projects, new formula projects, 1st production scale-up of new formulas.

**2. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES**
- Develop new cosmetics formulas based on brief (of customer, or strategic marketing), in respect of the different constraints (costs, regulatory, black lists, etc.) in collaboration with strategic marketing department.
- To execute and track Development work based on requests from Sales and Marketing.
- Regular meetings with Development Manager and Operational Marketing with regards to new projects.
- To execute all formula customization work in DEVEX and to follow all SOP’s with regards to Development and formula creation.
- Insure that all projects are done through the use of the BPR (BPM in 2015) when communicating about projects and/or reporting results.
- To participate in the Corporate Pigment Improvement Project, which will allow for faster and more precise development.
- To work with the Technical Direction in order to standardize technical information and processes on a global basis for all new formulas.
- Work with Corporate Applied Research in the technical transfer arena of commercialized and non-commercialized formulations.
- Work directly with clients in order to achieve the desired formulation when necessary.
- Record and review all activity on a weekly basis with the Technical Direction.
- Other duties as assigned.

**4. QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education/Certification**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in any related science, such as chemistry, Biology, Physics, etc.

**Required Knowledge**:
Cosmetic Formulation, color perception, raw material knowledge, regulatory knowledge, GLPs, GMPs, FDA guidelines

**Experience Required**:
3-5 years in Cosmetic Formulation

**Skills/Abilities**

Computer, DEVEX and SAP ERP system, interaction with clients, professional, courteous, able to travel if needed

Contratto di lavoro: Tempo indeterminato

Retribuzione: €40.000,00 - €50.000,00 all'anno
