Finance is the lifeblood of any business; without proper financial resources, no business can run smoothly.

Getir is different to finance in a corporate/established organization - we are building the plane while flying, meaning there's still lots to be set up and finance areas to improve and optimise. In this team you are directly shaping the course of business at Getir.

We are currently looking for an accounting professional with a curious and persistent personality, with a "can-do" attitude and "hands-on" mentality. This role will support our incredible Italy Finance team with Getir's day-to-day accounting operations.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- The Finance Associate will be support the team with day-to-day accounting operations
- Be a team player in projects, provide financial support to Business Units,
- Work with IT finance teams closely on all matters of accounting
- Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
- Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables
- Ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
- Protect business against unintentional overpayment
- Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
- Clarify any questionable invoice items & prices
- Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment
- Maintain copies of invoices or correspondence necessary for files
- Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
- Reconcile bank statements
- Input daily bookkeeping and record keeping
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors
- Raise queries on all discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
- Provide analysis on purchases when required
- Undertake other ad hoc assignments as required

**What You'll Bring**
- The most fundamental skills we need for this role is the aptitude for and interest in numbers, math, business and production processes, and helping to manage a business.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Management)
- 2 - 3 years of experience in accounting, audit or similar areas
- Sector experience: FMCG, Retail, Start Up, Tech, Ecommerce, Quick Commerce, Audit/Practice firms with these sector clients is preferred, or a global and/or large corporate firm
- SAP experience is a plus
- Good business sense, strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Excellent command of MS Office programs,
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
