**LEAN PROJECT MANAGER**

Job Purpose:
A Lean Project manager is a project leader who manages hi-profile projects. Typically, leads projects using lean manufacturing tools and methodologies, coaching, teaching and developing others to use them. Eliminates waste in every process and drives the organization towards standard works definition and implementation. Actively acts as a change agent, while coordinating the work of people from different departments or areas.

Job Duties:

- Strategy and Development:

- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Lean activities.
- General and Task Management:

- Develop a robust continuous improvement strategy in partnership with the Management Team and key business stakeholders. Implement and support cultural change across the organization and drive business improvement.
- Provide project management, analytical and research skills and expertise.
- Report on progress of projects, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets, resourcing, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline, and actions necessary to ensure success.
- Lead, define and develop continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance, such as the planning and running of lean events.
- Quality System
- Own and manage internal Quality System (CQMS), as the organization point of reference for “systems”. Manage Quality checklists update, audits, etc.
- People Management
- Motivate and coach the team to operational success.
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them.
- Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
- Work as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities.
- Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the Lean strategy.
- Major Skills
- Leadership and relational skills.
- Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members.
- Written and verbal communication and presentation skills (Italian and English).
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
- Qualifications and Experience Levels:

- Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred.
- Background in manufacturing and/or engineering environments.
- Experience with Lean projects is preferrable.
- Background in people management and project management (prior supervisory experience is a plus).
- Project Management experience.
