Intellectual Property (IP) is considered as an asset to sustain the present and future products and business.
Product Improvement and Innovation are in deep relationship with the IP management and this defines the need for the Company to sustain these activities by having a robust and properly skilled IP Management organization. IP matters arise more and more in contracts, agreements and negotiations with Customers, Suppliers, Universities and Research Centers and, in addition, the applicable laws related to "national security" require the Company Legal Dept. to be supported by the IP organization to investigate and maps any technical know-how in knowledge/IPR transfer agreements.

**Responsibilities**
- Developing and implementing IP capabilities (i.e. patent filing, prosecution, patent maintenance, patent exploitation).
- Coordinating the IP Correspondent Network in order to map, protect and exploit any IP generated.
- Being POC for Legal, Business, Offset dept., Finance for any issue that requires IP analysis, IP decisions, IP Strategy adoption.
- Spreading the IP culture (creation/improvement/protection) through dedicated training sessions.

The main responsibilities required by the IP Manager are:

- to guarantee, supported by the IP Correspondents Network, to the LHD technical areas (Engineering,
- Operations and Customer Support) the relevant support to identify innovative solutions that should be protected by patent.
- to act as POC between LHD technical areas and the Patent Attorney (external consultant) for any issues related to the patent filing, prosecution and maintenance procedure.
- Manage active or passive oppositions to protect the LHD IP.
- Perform the patent watching of competitor’s patent portfolio to identify their patent strategy or significant thec. Trends.
- Act as LHD POC for any applicable financial relief arising from public founds for IP generation/Innovation (data collection/analysis/validation/submission) i.e. Patent Box.
- Support Legal Dept. and Business Dept. in IP related issues in contracts and negotiation with special attention in case of knowledge transfer/ technologies transfer in order to duly respect the applicable "public security" laws.
- Set the IP management budget and provide report of any IP related costs.
- Provide to CT&IO the periodic update regarding IP management to LHD IPM within the IP Council.
- Review technical papers and presentations to avoid inappropriate/not necessary Company’s IP disclosure in public events.

**Your Profile**

The Role requires a wide range of knowledge in aeronautic, technologies, industrial processes and a strong aptitude to learn legal issues related to IP management (Codice della Proprietà Intelleattuale, TULPS Testo Unico Leggi di Pubblica Sicurezza, Dlg. 15 marzo 2012 n. 21 c.d. Poteri Speciali del Gov. Legge 185 Luglio 1995).
