**About Our Client**:
Our client is an Italian manufacturing company operating in the food&beverage industry.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director and according to the business expansion strategy, we are looking for an export director who will be responsible for defining, developing and executing the international sales strategies, expanding the presence in global markets, and driving revenue growth.

The new export director will have the following main responsibilities:

- Definition and implementation of a new internationalisation strategy for the entire product portfolio, based on different categories and positioning policies.
- Identify new markets, evaluate potential opportunities, and conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends.
- Management and maintenance of existing business in international markets.
- Expansion and development of the distribution network in new areas and markets.
- Managing and motivating the existing team, including export managers and commercial back-office resources.
- Expanding, lead, coach, and manage a team of export managers and sales professionals to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Expanding the distribution network through the selection and engagement of new agents/distributors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and operations to align strategies and ensure successful product launches and promotions in international markets.
- Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop and manage the export budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and optimal resource allocation.
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Contributing to the definition of the company's growth plans, including extraordinary inorganic growth operations such as JV, opening new branches, etc

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, or equivalent background. MBA is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in the food and beverage sector, in senior export management roles.
- In-depth knowledge of international sales strategies, market trends, and export regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Proven leadership, pro-activity, and authority skills, acquired through managerial roles consolidation.
- Analytic and organisational abilities, along with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in entrepreneurial contexts with a high level of autonomy and precision.
- Results-oriented, problem-solving mindset, and enthusiasm.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Fluent knowledge of Italian and English; knowledge of a third language is a plus
