Metz is one of the well-known companies in smart home appliances and the information technology market.
We are looking for a Tax & Accounting Manager for our Italy team. The role is responsible for managing statutory accounting, tax compliance, and tax audit activities in Italy. This role ensures full compliance with Italian GAAP, local tax regulations, and group policies, while acting as a key contact for external auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead local accounting operations in line with Italian GAAP and IFRS, ensuring compliance with global HQ policies.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and statutory reporting.
- Act as key contact for external auditors and tax authorities, including tax audits and inspections.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax compliance (CIT, IRAP, VAT, withholding taxes).
- Manage and develop the local accounting team; ensure high-quality delivery and internal controls.
- Support HQ reporting, group audits, and IFRS-related topics.
- Drive process improvements and system alignment with global standards (SAP).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of accounting experience, including team management experience.
- Hands-on experience in managing tax audits in Italy.
- Solid experience with IFRS and Italian GAAP.
- Strong SAP user (FI/CO preferred).
- Experience in multinational, HQ-controlled environments is highly preferred.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
