This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cancer immunology research focused on understanding human cDC1 dendritic cell and tumour interactions to enhance immune responses. Join a dynamic team led by Professor Kristen Radford and make a meaningful impact on innovative immunotherapeutic strategies.You will design, execute, and coordinate research studies investigating dendritic cell biology in cancer. Your role includes processing and analysing experimental data, developing new methodologies, and contributing to scientific publications and grant applications. You will also collaborate with colleagues and supervise junior staff and students to support the smooth operation of the laboratory environment.About youTo be considered successful for this position you should have:A PhD in a relevant field such as immunology or cancer biologyProven experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., mRNA analysis, CRISPR screens, lentivirus transduction)Proficiency in bioinformatics and multi-omics data analysis pipelinesHands-on experience with primary human immune cell culture and immunological assaysExcellent communication skills demonstrated through publications and presentationsAbility to mentor junior staff and work effectively both independently and as part of a teamCompetency with digital tools including Microsoft Office, statistical software, EndNote, and NCBI resourcesMater is Queensland’s largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
