This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys leading end-to-end data science initiatives, shaping the analytical strategy, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization, with a focus on Retail and the DTC Category Management & Merchandising domain. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and Machine Learning expertise with leadership capabilities, and is able to translate complex data into strategic insights for Retail. You will work closely with business, Corporate AI and BI stakeholders, playing a key role in bridging data and decision-making, and driving the evolution of advanced analytics AI capabilities within the DTC Category Management & Merchandising organization. Main
responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced data science and AI solutions, including machine learning models, forecasting, optimization algorithms, and intelligent systems
- Develop AI-powered tools and applications (e.g., recommendation systems, forecasting models, decision engines) tailored to retail and assortment use cases
- Explore and implement Generative AI and agent-based solutions to enhance business processes and customer experience, in collaboration with the Corporate AI team
- Lead end-to-end data science projects, from problem framing and data exploration to model deployment and monitoring on Databricks (PySpark, MLflow)
- Translate complex business problems into scalable analytical and AI solutions with measurable impact.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities for innovation and experimentation
- Work closely with Corporate Data & AI teams to ensure robust and scalable implementation of solutions
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Contribute to building best practices, frameworks, and reusable components for advanced analytics and AI development
- Act as a senior individual contributor and informal mentor, supporting knowledge sharing within the team
- Development of tracking dashboards to Monitor Adoption of our Tools/Solutions Main
requirements:
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
- Solid experience (typically 4–7+ years) in data science / AI roles with hands-on end-to-end project delivery.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Data Science and ML frameworks (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch).
- Advanced knowledge in SQL and relational and lakehouse data models.
- Proven experience in building and deploying machine learning models in production environments on Databricks (PySpark, MLflow)
- Experience with advanced analytics techniques (e.g., forecasting, optimization, NLP, recommendation systems)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently drive complex initiatives end-to-end, including mentoring more junior colleagues.
