We are seeking a Structural / Mechanical FEA Engineer to join our client’s growing team within the space industry. You will play a key role in the structural analysis, design verification.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural analyses of radar payloads and subsystems using FEM tools, including:
- Static and quasi-static loads
- Dynamic, vibration and shock
- Buckling and fatigue as applicable
- Define, execute, and interpret FEM models to support design decisions and qualification activities
- Structural sizing and verification against launch and operational loads
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and thermal design engineers to ensure a robust CAD ↔ FEM loop
- Support environmental qualification campaigns (vibration, shock, thermal), including pre-test analysis and post-test correlation
- Prepare structural analysis reports and qualification documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and finite element methods
- Proven experience with FEM tools (e.g., Femap/Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, or equivalent)
- Ability to build, validate, and correlate FEM models with test results
- Knowledge of metallic structures; basic understanding of composites
- Familiarity with product development lifecycle (concept → qualification → delivery)
- Understanding of environmental loads and space qualification principles (ECSS or equivalent)
- Good written and spoken English
