Job Description
Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme), along with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at the development and realization of a new generation air system, defined as a “system of systems.” Employed for multi-domain operations in the defense sector, the system will feature a “core platform” connected to other peripheral “adjuncts” systems, both manned and unmanned. The program, one of the most challenging and futuristic for the aerospace and defense industry, will drive the technological revolution that will characterize the sector over the next fifty years. A challenge aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, as it seeks to identify and make available those innovative technologies, called enabling technologies, that will ensure the generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, benefiting new generations. Resources working within this program will have the opportunity to access a professional growth path in an international and technologically advanced context. Within the Digital Systems & Engineering Technologies area of the Cyber Division, we are looking for a Digital Engineering Solution Architect for one of our offices in Rome, Turin, and Milan Nerviano. This role will operate with particular responsibility in the analysis of E2E processes concerning international programs and requires the following skills/activities:
* Coordination of activities, nationally and internationally for the reference programs, which include:
* Collection of functional and non-functional requirements
* Definition of the target application architecture based on national/international requirements and constraints in collaboration with other necessary entities
* Selection of software technologies in collaboration with Leonardo's business units as well as other companies/entities that may be involved
* Ability to analyze and formalize business requirements with knowledge in specific areas of Digital Engineering
* Planning and drafting of business cases
* Problem-solving (if possible, also in an international context) ###
Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Degree in one of the STEM disciplines, preferably Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Computer Science. Seniority: Senior (>5 years in the Digital Engineering domain as a Solution Architect) Technical knowledge and
skills:
* Excellent knowledge of Business processes in the Engineering field with a particular focus on the Model Base Enterprise world
* Experience as a Solution Architect in the PLM world, particularly on Siemens Teamcenter
* Knowledge of methodologies and enabling technologies for System of System, MBSE (Model Base System Engineering), Software Engineering, and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
* Knowledge of integration methods for different ALM/PLM environments
* Knowledge of NAF standards (plus)
* Knowledge of aeronautical certification standards (CS-25, ARP 4754B, EASA AMC 20-42, ARP 4761A, DO-178C, DO-33x, ..)
* Ability to analyze Business processes
* Ability to define technical/functional requirements for the realization of integrated systems
* Knowledge in the design of complex IT architectures
* Skills in managing multi-domain environments
* Project Management skills
* INCOSE Certification (plus) Behavioral competencies:
