Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers Engineer

Mission

- Responsibility of the activities pertaining to the discipline within a project, in compliance with the technical project requirement, the assigned budget and the project schedule, assuring the cost optimization.
- Responsible to carry on all the activities relevant to the supply of a static or group of static equipment with a vendor from the request for quotation to the final delivery, in coordination with the Post Order and Inspection department.

Key activities and responsibilities

During the execution of a project, the duties are:

- Prepare and discuss with Project Team (Project Manager and/or Project Engineering Manager) and Engineering Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life.;
- Prepare Material Requisitions for Static Equipment, such as Reactors, Columns, Vessels, Tanks, Heat Exchangers, developing both mechanical calculation and 2D drawings, including Client and Company requirement inside the material requisition;
- Prepare Technical Evaluation and Tabulation of the vendor inquired and cooperate with Procurement Department in the definition of Bidder list and short list of vendor before tabulation;
- Review and keeping continuously updated the Statics Equipment Discipline procedures, guidelines and standards;
- Interact with Client representatives and Vendors for all the technical topics impacting on the project both in time and costs;
- Guarantee assistance to the inspection and construction departments upon request as per project needs.
- Provide feedback to Project Engineering Manager/ Head of Department concerning problems arising from application of standard methods and work instruction to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department;
- Conduct technical training as per department and Company needs and exchange experience with colleagues of the entire Group for new Design techniques;
- Keep him/herself up-to-date about the technical specific improvement of the discipline.

Competences

- Experience specifically related to different types of static equipment for Petrochemical or Oleochemical applications (Pressure Vessels, S&T Heat Exchangers, Air Coolers, Filters, Columns, Plate Heat Exchangers, Reactors, Storage;
- Ability to review client specifications & standards, prepare customized equipment supply and design specifications, prepare equipment inquiry/purchase requisitions;
- Competence in preparing equipment mechanical data sheets by the use of 2D Cad software, design software & technical bid evaluations;
- Review of vendor engineering drawings, calculations , technical documents, and interface with other disciplines and departments;
- Knowledge of API, ASME, ANSI, PED Directive, TEMA, EN and other process industry codes and standards is necessary;
- Ability to produce accurate project deliverables and maintain project schedules and man hour budgets;

Skills & Requirements

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- +2/3 years of experience in the same position
- fluent English speaker and writer
- willing to travel for work
- Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment
