Job Description
Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme) program, together with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at developing and implementing a new generation air system, defined as a “system of systems.” Employed for multi-domain operations in the defense sector, the system will feature a “core platform” connected to other peripheral “adjunct” systems, both manned and unmanned. The program, one of the most challenging and futuristic for the aerospace and defense industry, will drive the technological revolution that will characterize the sector over the next fifty years. This challenge aims to strengthen the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, as it seeks to identify and make available those innovative, enabling technologies that will ensure a generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, benefiting new generations. Resources working within this program will have the opportunity to access a professional growth path in an international and technologically advanced context. Within the Digital Systems & Engineering Technologies area of the Cyber Division, we are looking for a Digital Engineering Lead for one of our offices in Rome, Turin, and Milan Nerviano. The person in question will coordinate the Digital Engineering Team for a specific international program and, in particular, will support:
* Coordination of activities, nationally and internationally, for the reference programs, which include:
* Collection of functional and non-functional requirements
* Definition of the target application architecture based on national/international requirements and constraints, in collaboration with Leonardo's D&IT and Security departments
* Selection of software technologies in collaboration with Leonardo's business entities as well as other companies/entities that may be involved
* Ability to analyze and formalize business requirements with knowledge in specific areas of Digital Engineering
* Ability to coordinate heterogeneous teams within digital engineering, across different corporate functions, as well as potentially other entities/companies
* Planning and drafting of business cases
* Cost control and risk management
* Project coordination/leadership
* Problem solving (if possible, also in an international context)

Requirements:
*Education*: Degree in one of the STEM disciplines, preferably Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Computer Science. *Seniority:* Senior (>5 years in the Digital Engineering domain) *Technical knowledge and

skills:

* Excellent knowledge of Business processes in Engineering and good in Manufacturing and Customer Support
* Knowledge of methodologies and enabling technologies for PLM, MBSE, CAD, and CAE
* Ability to analyze Business processes
* Ability to define technical/functional requirements for system implementation
* Project Management skills
* Ability to interpret and analyze IT application architectures (HPC and Cloud are a plus) *Behavioral
