Scope of PositionTo further develop the Ocean Import product in the marketplace through focus on Operations Finances Sales People Systems and Culture in adherence to the companys policy and procedures.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperationsEnsure all customers standard operating procedures are followed as per the DLSOPReview and support with day-to-day quotations.Plan and support with huddles and monthly meetings to discuss market intelligence and delegate workloads within the team.Take an active role in the transition of new business/ updates to existing business.Grow department Revenue in line with District budget target and management expectations.Support all compliance efforts and trainings.Understand department process flow constantly looking for areas to improve efficiency.Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into the department.Be involved and suggest system/process improvements.Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors (Shipping lines trucking companies and othersAssist the Manager with EPEs on the department in line with the 31 Initiatives.Assist the Manager with goal setting and monitoring development for key staff.CultureProactively promote the companys 10 cultural attributes: Appearance Attitude Confidence Curiosity Excellence Integrity Pride Resolute Sense of Humor and Visionary.Qualifications:College/University or equivalent business qualifications (plus)Minimum 3 years Expeditors or industry experienceStrong planning and organizing skillsConflict resolutionListening skillsProviding feedbackTeamworkBuilding team environmentCoaching for developmentCustomer focusManaging meetingsProblem solvingProcess improvementTime managementSoftware proficiency skills (e.g. MS Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables MS Word)English language proficiencyGlobal Logistics Industry knowledgeReporting StructureOcean ProductAdditional InformationExpeditors offers excellent benefits:Employee Stock Purchase PlanTraining and Personnel Development ProgramGrowth opportunities within the companyEmployee Referral Program BonusRemote WorkNoEmployment TypeFull-timeKey SkillsChildren ActivityGoogle AnalyticsGeneral InsuranceAPIData WarehousingAdministration SupportExperienceyearsVacancy1
