Software Engineer – Machine Learning

TXT E-Tech, part of TXT Group, is looking for Software Engineers with expertise in Machine Learning and intelligent flight planning systems to join a team dedicated to the development of software platforms for mission planning and optimization in the aerospace domain.
The selected professional will be involved in the development of algorithms, modules, and software components for the automated management of complex scenarios, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and optimization techniques.
Main responsibilities
Analysis of Machine Learning algorithms for decision support and autonomous planning
Software development in C++ and/or Python in embedded or simulation environments
Design and implementation of modules for flight and mission plan generation and evaluation
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams for integration with avionics, sensor fusion, and simulation systems
Execution of validation and testing activities using digital models and simulated environments
Preparation of technical documentation in compliance with Aerospace & Defence standards
Requirements
Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline
Good knowledge of C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink
Skills in Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, AI Planning, and Combinatorial Optimization
1 to 5 years of experience in software development (junior to mid-level profiles)
Good knowledge of English and Italian
Nice to have
Familiarity with simulation techniques, avionic systems, or aerospace mission systems
Experience, including academic or research experience, in software development for complex real-time or embedded systems
Soft skills
Strong adaptability and cognitive flexibility
Ability to work effectively in a team
High sense of responsibility and attention to detail
