Data Scientist

VF Corporation is looking for an exceptional Data Scientist to join our Data &amp, Analytics team based in Stabio Switzerland. Let's talk about the role The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in Data Science' with a strong specialization in forecasting and optimization. In this role' you will design' develop' and implement state-of-the-art AI solutions to support and enhance Pricing strategies across the organization. You will also work closely with business stakeholders to interpret model recommendations' improve understanding' and strengthen trust in the proposed solutions. Job Details - Develop and maintain next gen forecasting models + pricing optimization to support the trading strategy - Optimize and fine-tune AI models for performance' scalability' and accuracy. - Work closely with data/ cloud Engineers' architect' devops and product owners' to promote cross functional team collaboration and co creation of value-added analytics solutions - Present findings and recommendations to senior business stakeholders in the regions. Embed capability and create AI trust in the business community - Play as a organizational change agents' to support AI and Gen.AI transformation in the organization. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning' and apply them to enhance our fashion products and services Skills for Success - Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science' Data Science' Machine Learning' or Engineering - Advanced Forecasting &amp, Time Series Modelling: Extensive experience in time series forecasting using machine learning (XGBoost' LightGBM)' deep learning frameworks (e.g.' NeuralForecast' N-BEATS)' and zero shot models. Proficient in ensemble modelling' hierarchical and multivariate forecasting' as well as probabilistic and prediction intervals. - Python Expertise: Strong programming skills in Python with deep knowledge of core scientific libraries such as pandas' numpy' scikit-learn' and matplotlib' as well as specialized packages like neural forecast' stats models' prophet' xgboost' and lightgbm. - Optimization Models: exposure to optimization techniques (e.g.' linear/non-linear programming' constrained optimization) for resource allocation and inventory management. - Model Evaluation &amp, Validation: Skilled in evaluating forecasting models using robust techniques such as time-series cross-validation and back-testing. Strong grasp of key performance metrics including MAE' MAPE' RMSE' SMAPE' and prediction interval coverage. - Data Management &amp, SQL: Proficient in writing efficient SQL queries to extract' join' and transform data from large-scale relational databases in support of modelling and analysis. - Version Control &amp, Collaboration: Experienced in using Git and GitHub for source control' code review' and collaborative model development in agile environments. - Cloud Platforms &amp, MLOps: Hands-on experience with cloud environments including AWS or Azure for scalable data processing and model deployment. Proficient in using Databricks for collaborative development and Spark-based pipelines.
