- Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme) program, along with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at the development and realization of a new generation aerial system, defined as a “system of systems”. Employed for multi-domain operations in defense, the system will be characterized by a “core platform” connected with other peripheral “adjuncts” systems, piloted and unpiloted. The program, one of the most challenging and futuristic for the aerospace and defense industry, will drive the technological revolution that will characterize the sector over the next fifty years. A challenge aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, because it aims to identify and make available those innovative, enabling technologies that will ensure the generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, benefiting new generations. Resources working within this program will have the opportunity to access a path of professional growth in an international and technologically advanced context. Within the Aeronautics Division, in the Aircraft B.
U., within the Avionic Systems unit and in particular in the Ground Support Systems discipline, we are looking for a Ground Support Systems (GSS) SW Architect to be based at the Turin plant for the Gcap program. The resource will primarily be responsible for:
- Defining the software architecture of complex systems, establishing patterns, technologies, and best practices.
- Guiding the development team in technical and architectural choices, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Evaluating emerging technologies and proposing innovative solutions.
- Creating technical documentation and architectural diagrams, supporting the integration between different systems and components. Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines. Required Experience Level: Expert (3+ years of experience) TECHNICAL/IT
SKILLS:
- Design patterns and software architectures (microservices, event-driven, layered)
