Job Description
Leonardo is one of the strategic industrial partners of the GCAP (Global Combat Air Programme) program, together with the British BAE Systems and the Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, aimed at the development and realization of a new generation aerial system, defined as a “system of systems”. Employed for multi-domain operations in the defense sector, the system will feature a “core platform” connected with other peripheral “adjunct” systems, piloted and unpiloted. The program, one of the most challenging and futuristic for the aerospace and defense industry, will drive the technological revolution that will characterize the sector in the next fifty years. A challenge aimed at strengthening the technological and industrial sovereignty of the countries involved, because it aims to identify and make available those innovative, enabling technologies that will ensure the generational leap, generating positive returns and economic and social progress for the entire country system, benefiting new generations. Resources working on this program will have the opportunity to access a professional growth path in an international and technologically advanced context. Within the Aeronautical Division, in the Aircraft B.
U., within the Materials & Processes Technologies Organizational unit, we are looking for a Materials and Processes Specialist focused on activities related to composite materials at the Pomigliano d'Arco (Na) site. The resource will be placed within the Materials and Processes (M&P) Office and will report, in addition to their direct hierarchical superiors, also to other company functions operating within the GCAP Program. The need to introduce resources into the activities related to the GCAP program will ensure that the resource collaborates with research entities (Universities and Research Centers), potential suppliers of products/processes and Customers for the achievement of the objectives required by the Program. The international nature of the Program will require cooperation with colleagues from other foreign companies. Main activities:
* Planning of M&P activities and supervision of activity progress, coordinating timelines and technical content, ensuring compliance with technical requirements
* Management of the relationship with the company functions involved in the Program
* Preparation of technical documentation output of the activities. In particular, issues of:
- definition of requirements
- experimentation requests
- technical evaluation of results
- admissible derivation,
- documentation relating to simulation activities
- issue of material and process technical specification
* Verification of elaborates developed by external bodies
* Preparation of corporate technical presentations resulting from the development of activities
* Supervision of activities at the Company and at external bodies for the various phases of the activities Educational qualification: Master's degree in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, materials), Chemistry or equivalent Seniority: Junior: 1-3 years of experience, Technical
skills:
* Knowledge of the main characteristics of composite materials for aeronautical applications, with particular interest in thermosetting (in particular epoxy) and thermoplastic matrices. Behavioral
skills:
* Excellent analytical and organizational skills
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
