Amazon Operations Internal Communications Specialist, Ops Internal Comms

The EU Operations Internal Communications team is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist based in Milan who will support communications execution and content development for Amazon's Operations business across Europe.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive communicator who can work independently on routine tasks while learning to navigate more complex, pan-European communications initiatives. This person will manage content creation across various channels, support implementation of communication strategies, and provide execution assistance to senior team members across multiple business areas.

This role would suit someone with foundational communications experience who is eager to develop their skills in a dynamic, international environment while contributing meaningfully to employee engagement initiatives.

This person will need to stay close on details to provide robust functional communications support, be able to jump into new projects to administer requests, and come equipped with sharp instincts. The role would suit a detail-orientated people person with a passion for storytelling and writing.

Key job responsibilities
- Build and maintain working relationships with EU Operations stakeholders to support communication needs
- Create and adapt content with clear narratives that engage frontline employees across European markets
- Support coordination and distribution of communications across multiple internal channels
- Assist with localization and delivery of materials for both on-site/physical and digital channels
- Contribute ideas for process improvements and new communication tools that can be shared across the team
- Provide project management and production support for the editorial process
- Help maintain the day-to-day editorial calendar by coordinating inputs from team members
- Maintain distribution lists and communication delivery mechanisms
- Experience in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field
- Demonstrated writing and editing skills with ability to adapt content for different audiences
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- English language proficiency for cross-European collaboration
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)- Experience working in multinational or matrix organizations
- Experience in employee communications or internal communications specifically
- Experience supporting communications campaigns from concept through execution
