We are seeking a highly skilled Methods Engineer to join our team at Wabtec Corporation. As a Methods Engineer, you will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing our production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Process Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of our manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Method Optimization: Develop and implement optimized methods and procedures to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor production activity, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports to management.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering, to ensure seamless implementation of optimized processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, leveraging industry best practices and lean manufacturing principles.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a structured organization.
- Language Skills: Proficient in English language.
- Tech Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical processing technologies, including material working, tooling, cutting parameters, and machine architecture.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, and strong communication skills.
- Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, including 6S, TPM, SMED, Spaghetti chart, Value Stream Map, and Standard Work.
- Design Skills: Proficiency in design software, such as SolidWorks and Catia.
