Splendido Mare, a luxury guesthouse in Portofino, is part of the esteemed LVMH Group. Its celebrated restaurant, DaV Mare, offers refined cuisine curated by the renowned Cerea family. This gem on the Italian Riviera embodies Ligurian living in its purest form.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team for season 2025. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality experiences and has a strong track record of producing high-quality baked goods. They should be comfortable with challenges, demonstrate care, confidence, curiosity, and community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and produce a wide range of leavened, puffed, and non-leavened products according to recipe specifications
  • Maintain strict safety, health, and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen
  • Monitor and control incoming goods, storing them in perfect conditions
  • Perform waste control and maintain efficient inventory management
  • Support the pastry team and report to the Executive Chef as needed

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of cooking styles, equipment, and raw materials processing techniques
  • At least 3 years of experience as a senior pastry chef in a similar role
  • Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally
  • Effective communication, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and teamwork skills
