About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team at Emerson. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading technical projects, managing remote resources, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the relevant Project Manager in understanding, managing, and achieving each customer's expectations.
  • Take ownership of the engineering activities and proactively utilize methodologies, resources, and techniques for minimizing execution costs while maintaining the requisite schedule and quality standards.
  • Be a focal point for all technical communication with the customer for the assigned work.
  • Fully understand the scope of work for all allocated engineering output and ensure that it is delivered to the requisite quality, budget, and schedule, as well as advising the Manager of any customer-initiated changes in scope.
  • Support the Management in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all personnel within the project team and actively support team members in achieving any personal development objectives that may have been set for the project.
  • Actively contribute to any assigned bid activities to ensure that the customer's requirements are fully understood and that innovative and efficient solutions are proposed.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree, state-certified technician, completed vocational training, or equivalent knowledge.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record of managing system design, implementation, and factory/site acceptance test phases of process automation control systems (DCS preferred).
  • Ability to lead a technical team – with leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within defined timelines.
  • Experience with direct customer contact.
  • Highly proficient in Italian and English (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in the Lifescience market and with batch applications.
  • Knowledge and experience in cybersecurity and networking (VLAN, router, network segmentation).
  • Knowledge and experience in DCS control systems (DeltaV preferred).
