Job Summary:
Marken, a leading provider of clinical supply chain solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Operations Associate to join our team. As an Operations Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient use of packaging and supplies in our warehouse to meet client and internal requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate tracking and verification of shipments, including confirmation of proper pieces and weight.
- Replenish shipments as needed based on temperature requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of transportation systems to update milestones accordingly.
- Create pre-alerts to agents and ensure all pieces are scanned out and manifested.
- Prepare and submit flight plans for shipments and ensure accurate entry into transportation management systems.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure proper handling and storage of shipments.
- Escalate inquiries and concerns to senior staff and leadership as needed.
- Ensure safe handling of dry ice and shipment replenishment.
- Manage On Hold and 'Not OK to Send' shipments according to established procedures.
- Issue airline airway bills for domestic and international shipments.
- Complete GxP documentation logs and assist in dispatch and tendering of shipments to airlines.
- Identify product temperature and replenishment needs, and perform conditioning processes for packaging.
- Prepare shipment papers in accordance with company guidelines and arrange for adequate supply of shipping materials.
- Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately, and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Review and verify documentation, labeling, and markings for each shipment, and prepare Next Flight Out shipments.
- Post-flight all departures to ensure shipments left on booked flights.
Requirements:
- Understanding of operating systems (Maestro) and SOPs.
- Experience with cold chain management and handling of dry ice.
- Demonstrated ability to properly label shipments (weight, contents, orientation, overpack, etc.).
- Airline booking procedures and data entry into TMS.
- Ability to be flexible with shift hour coverage and forklift certification desired.
- Dispatch experience desired.
