We are seeking an experienced Gemologist Expert to join our team in Rome, Italy. This is a permanent position within the High Jewelry Business Unit of Bulgari.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing gemological analysis of various stones using standard and advanced instruments. They will maintain up-to-date knowledge on gemstones issues from reputable sources and ensure accurate analysis results.
Main Accountabilities:- Conduct thorough gemological analysis of loose and mounted stones using advanced instruments.
- Stay informed about the latest gemstone developments and updates from international gemological institutes.
- Provide expert support to global stakeholders through our dedicated app.
- Optimize analysis and certification processes to improve efficiency.
- Prepare detailed reports on gemological analysis outputs.
- Foster collaboration and share knowledge within the Gem Lab Team.
To be considered for this role, you should have at least 4-5 years of experience in gemological analysis or selection within a Gem Lab or Jewelry Brand. A complete gemologist diploma (Diamond/Colored Stones) is also required.
Key Skills and Qualifications:- Proficiency in International certification rules and Institutes.
- Experience with mounted Gemstones analysis and Pavé Selection.
- Advanced gemological instruments competencies.
- Excellent command of MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and 'can-do' attitude.
- Proactivity and result orientation.
- Organizational skills.
This is a competitive salary of €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses. The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately €65,000 - €75,000, considering the location and requirements.
