We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Vice President of Pharmacy Operations.

Job Summary

The Vice President of Pharmacy Operations will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of our pharmacy operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services across our continuum of care. This key role will oversee the development and implementation of best practice strategies for delivering operational and clinical pharmacy services, as well as the management of our pharmacy staff and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Direct Pharmacy Operations
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to improve pharmacy operations and services
    • Oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards for pharmacy operations
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
  • Manage Pharmacy Staff
    • Recruit, train, and develop pharmacy staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality services
    • Provide coaching and feedback to pharmacy staff to improve performance and achieve goals
  • Develop and Implement Quality Improvement Initiatives
    • Identify areas for quality improvement and develop strategies to address them
    • Implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with Other Departments
    • Work with other departments to ensure seamless integration of pharmacy services with other healthcare services
    • Collaborate with external partners to develop and implement strategic partnerships

Requirements

  • Education
    • Possess a PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy or an RPh with an MBA or MHA
  • Experience
    • Minimum of five years' experience as a Director of Pharmacy in a long-term care setting
    • Demonstrated success as a senior leader in a matrixed organization with an emphasis on contracting, relationship management, and program development
  • Skills
    • Exceptional leadership and management skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
