Job Summary
As a Contract Specialist with the Naval Supply Systems Command, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of contracts and procurement activities. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing and analyzing procurement requests, contract terms, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze procurement requests and their specifications or statements of work to determine their adequacy, completeness, and commerciality.
- Review contract terms and technical specifications to identify any special requirements.
- Analyze settlement proposals, audit reports, technical evaluations, and subcontractor claims.
- Identify factors affecting contractor's cost using historical production and statistical cost data, reports from auditors or technical specialists, and contractor costs breakdowns regarding labor, materials, overhead, and profit.
- Develop documentation and criteria to substantiate Government cost or negotiation positions.
- Process grants actions in accordance with applicable regulations.
