About the Role
Aircraft Maintenance Specialist at Zephiro Aircraft Services Srl is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft while in operation. This involves maintaining and servicing aircraft between flights or during short turnarounds, ensuring compliance with aviation safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-flight, post-flight, and turnaround inspections to detect and rectify any issues.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks such as refueling, oil checks, tire changes, brake inspections, and troubleshooting.
- Identify and repair faults or malfunctions that are discovered during inspections or reported by the flight crew.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in compliance with aviation regulations.
- Liaise with pilots, flight crew, and maintenance control to ensure clear understanding of any technical issues or repairs needed.
- Respond to unexpected technical issues that arise during aircraft operations, ensuring rapid repairs to minimize flight delays.
- Ensure all maintenance work adheres to aviation standards, regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA), and the manufacturer's specifications.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of aircraft systems (e.g., avionics, hydraulics, engines).
- Essential Certification: Typically requires an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (AMEL), issued by aviation regulatory bodies such as FAA (for the U.S.) or EASA (for Europe).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify even minor issues that could impact aircraft safety.
- Problem Solving: Quick and efficient troubleshooting to resolve issues under time pressure.
- Physical Fitness: The job can be physically demanding, requiring engineers to work outdoors, in tight spaces, and on their feet for long periods.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and during inclement weather.

We offer a competitive package and for anyone (European Citizen) moving to Italy after at least 3 financial years, there is a tax deduction up to 70% depending on your area of residence, for 5 years which can increase to 8 if you meet specific requirements.
