Applied Scientist, Generative AI Innovation Center

We are seeking a highly skilled Applied Scientist to join our Generative AI team at AWS EMEA SARL (Italy Branch) - G99. As an Applied Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced machine learning models to solve diverse challenges and opportunities across industries.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and evaluate innovative machine learning models to solve complex business problems
- Collaborate with customers to understand their business needs and help them implement scalable generative AI solutions
- Work closely with account teams, research scientist teams, and product engineering teams to drive model implementations and new solution development
The Generative AI team helps customers imagine and scope the use cases that will create the greatest value for their businesses. We provide guidance on best practices for applying generative AI responsibly and cost efficiently.

- PhD or Master's degree in a highly quantitative field
- Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing
- Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning
