Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Python Developer to join our team. As a Backend Python Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side components of our web applications.

You will work closely with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration between the frontend and backend systems. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the space industry and play a critical role in developing software solutions and applications that support space missions, satellite systems, and data analysis in the space domain.

Responsibilities

  • Develop server-side applications using Python and web frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.
  • Design and implement database models and manage database systems, preferably using PostgreSQL.
  • Configure and manage proxy servers like Traefik or Nginx to optimize web application performance and security.
  • Integrate with external APIs to enable data exchange and third-party service integration.
  • Implement caching strategies and performance optimizations to enhance the efficiency of the web applications.
  • Implement security measures and authentication mechanisms to protect the web applications from unauthorized access.
  • Perform testing and debugging to ensure the quality and stability of the backend code.
  • Collaborate with the frontend team to understand and integrate frontend technologies effectively.
  • Utilize dependency management and packaging tools like Poetry to manage project dependencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Backend Python Developer.
  • In-depth knowledge of Python and web frameworks such as Django or FastAPI.
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS, preferably PostgreSQL, and proficiency in SQL.
  • Familiarity with proxy servers, API integration, caching, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Sound knowledge of security and authentication best practices in web application development.
  • Proficiency in testing and debugging methodologies for ensuring code quality.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies and the ability to collaborate effectively with frontend developers.
  • Experience with dependency management and packaging tools like Poetry.
