Job Summary

The Manufacturing Excellence Specialist position is a key role in driving continuous improvement projects and activities throughout the plant to deliver annual targets and deploy the Ball Manufacturing Excellence management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business critical cross-functional projects that enable or directly deliver cost savings in various categories.
  • Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement activities using Lean tools and techniques to improve and sustain performance.
  • Act as a change agent for the business and coach at all levels using GROW coaching techniques.
  • Lead problem-solving projects by training, coaching, and facilitating teams to perform effective root cause analysis.
  • Examine data sets from Manufacturing Execution and Quality Systems to find trends and draw conclusions.
  • Manage plant best practices, liaise with the company's continuous improvement network for benchmarking and rolling out best practices.
  • Manage the Plant Manufacturing Excellence capital hopper, ensuring a pipeline of projects with relevant information.
Requirements
  • University degree in Science, Engineering, or Business.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry.
  • Good understanding of LEAN tools and systems, demonstrated portfolio of leading lean project management.
  • Good understanding of statistical process control and data analysis, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certified.
  • Able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to build trust between and align disparate groups.
  • Change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
