About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel to join our team at Eutelsat Group. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in supporting our strategic procurements, including satellites, satellite launches, user terminals, license agreements, and other purchases in support of our video and connectivity constellations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly interface with select COMEX members (Chief Information Officer and Chief Operations Officer) and their teams to support strategic procurements.
  • Procurement negotiation of contracts to close transactions, providing practical business guidance and raising material risks for business review and approval.
  • Work collaboratively with the Purchasing Department as well as other members of the Law Department, including mentoring junior attorneys.
  • Opportunity to work on commercial transactions supporting the Video and Connectivity business.
Requirements
  • Collaborating with engineering and development teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Building strong stakeholder engagement across Compliance, Engineering, Procurement, and the Law Department.
  • A strong interest in technology and Intellectual Property.
  • Confidence to lead negotiations on strategic initiatives alongside senior management.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Supporting various competing objectives with tight timeframes.
  • Capacity to quickly grasp complex concepts across many concurrent projects and distill critical sensitivities to provide a comprehensive review for COMEX review and approval.
  • Experience working across time zones and cultures.
  • Understanding and managing relationships with external legal counsels and other legal service providers.
  • Providing guidance to ensure that stakeholders are compliant with applicable legislation and regulations.
Where You'll Be

London (U.K.), Issy (FRA), or Turin (Italy). Travel up to 20% of the time depending on the location of the role. Can work remotely two days per week.
