Red Hat Limited is seeking a Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance our team. Engage in the development of innovative solutions, contribute to open source projects, and play a pivotal role in the evolution of AI technologies. As a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be instrumental in guiding technical teams, designing automated testing frameworks, and collaborating across various initiatives. Your role will involve active participation in open source communities, crafting reference architectures, and providing strategic technical guidance. Candidates should be located in regions where Red Hat operates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design evaluations and automated testing for significant product features and issue resolutions. This includes formulating test strategies, designing and executing automated tests, developing comprehensive test plans, and researching new functionalities.
  • Act as a champion for customer interests, delivering data-driven quality metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Foster a company-wide community of Quality advocates dedicated to understanding and addressing customer needs.
  • Lead technical projects aimed at enhancing and scaling existing processes.
  • Contribute to the development of open source initiatives, particularly within the Open Data Hub and Red Hat OpenShift AI product suite.
  • Collaborate on testing strategies for new open source AI components from Open Data Hub and Red Hat OpenShift AI.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to facilitate cross-company collaboration with engineers, product managers, and executive teams.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI and Machine Learning platforms such as Kubeflow, TensorFlow, or PyTorch is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years in software quality assurance, including test automation using object-oriented programming languages; proficiency in Python and Golang is preferred.
  • Extensive experience managing Linux-based systems in production settings.
  • Proven expertise in container technologies like Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins or similar batch management tools, including pipeline creation and test troubleshooting through log analysis.
  • Strong grasp of automated testing methodologies at both API and UI levels.
  • Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
