Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our team at ING Bank N.V. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data protection laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of local and global data protection programs and ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
  • Strengthen communication across different areas of the bank to ensure that personal data are a key asset in business processes.
  • Support the Data Protection Impact Assessments execution and maintenance of the Record of Processing Activities.
  • Provide support in incident management, data breach, and data subjects' rights requests.
  • Review procedures, policies, and guidelines relating to data protection domains.
  • Perform controls, gap analysis, and support the definition of remediations.
  • Support local training programs on data protection.

Requirements

  • Degree in Law or Computer Science.
  • Master or equivalent post-university specialization in data protection or Computer Science (preferred).

Required Experience

  • Experience of at least 4 to 6 years in data protection, legal, compliance, or Computer Science.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge on data protection laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge on information technology and Computer Science.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent in English both oral and written.
