At Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, we are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in the development of innovative biosensing technologies. The successful candidate will be part of a joint lab between IIT and an industrial partner, working on the realization of a cost-effective yet highly sensitive product for extensive screening of antigens.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and optimization of carbon-based printed electrolyte-gated field effect transistors
- Bio-functionalization of the sensing gate electrode
- Validation of the biosensor
Requirements:
- PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Biomedical/Electronic Engineering, or similar disciplines
- Proven laboratory skills on the fabrication and characterization of carbon-based/organic transistors
- Previous experience on bio-functionalization of surfaces such as gold electrode or semiconductors is a plus
- A strong publication record
- Ability to properly report, organize and publish research data
- Documented experience in coaching junior scientists
- Good command in spoken and written English
