As a Mechanical Engineer at Solaris Biotech, you'll play a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge bioprocessing equipment.

Solaris Biotech is a leading manufacturer of bioprocessing equipment, including bioreactors, fermenters, and tangential flow filtration systems. We work closely with universities, research centers, and industries to provide high-tech bioprocess solutions.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting R&D efforts, designing innovative bioreactor and filtration solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You'll have the opportunity to work on complex customer challenges and create competitive advantages in the bioprocessing space.

To succeed in this role, you'll need a Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Pharmaceutical Engineering, and 1-3 years of experience in mechanical design. You'll also need excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as a basic understanding of regulatory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing innovative bioreactor and filtration solutions
  • Applying bioprocess industry and engineering experience to innovate and solve complex customer challenges
  • Developing mechanical design of product concepts in 3D
  • Performing calculations and simulations with process engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Carrying out engineering design according to cGMP, pharmaceutical technical regulation, and local regulations
  • Assisting in evaluation of product prototypes and their manufacturability

Technical competence and skills required include knowledge of process control and P&IDs standard settings, capability of hydraulic sizing of lines and main process equipment, and experience in using 2D/3D software such as Autocad, Solid Edge, Solidworks, and Siemens NX.
