Position Overview:

As a dedicated and insightful Software Development Engineer, you will be driven to enhance processes and prioritize customer satisfaction. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and possess strong problem-solving skills. Familiarity with contemporary engineering practices and software development tools will enable you to innovate and elevate the customer experience while enhancing the efficiency of our engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in server-side technologies and architecture (Java/JPA/Jax-RS/Hibernate).
  • Design and develop APIs.
  • Engage in requirements analysis.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and offer guidance on solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create software designs and architectures.
  • Transform application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
  • Design, construct, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance software.
  • Compose technical documentation.
  • Integrate data storage solutions, including databases (Oracle), key-value stores (Redis), blob stores, and No-SQL (Solr).
  • Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Assist in maintaining code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Act as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
  • Write unit tests and ensure high code coverage to improve software quality and maintainability (Experience with JUnit/JMeter).
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Continuously learn and stay informed about the latest technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in PL/SQL with Oracle.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based services.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript, Micro frontend architecture, Angular, and/or AngularJS.
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Familiarity with JBoss Wildfly.
  • Understanding of Keycloak/OpenID Connect/OAuth 2/JWT.
  • Familiarity with ActiveMQ/AMQ.
  • Familiarity with Solr/ElasticSearch.
  • Respect existing architecture, methodology, and processes while also contributing fresh ideas and constructive challenges when appropriate.
