Job Summary

The Operations Manager – Italy E&C Business will play a critical role in implementing the right processes and best practices across the Organization at all its levels. This includes formulating strategy, improving performance, and securing compliance, efficiency, and profitability during the course of business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a vision, direction, and purpose for direct reports and their teams, serving as an authentic leader, coach, and advisor.
  • Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives to increase sales, generate leads, identify market opportunities, and drive efficiencies in teams.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures to ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate and cost-effective manner.
  • Formulate strategic and operational objectives in accordance with organizational guidelines and prepare and implement the Business Plan in long-term planning.
  • Define and monitor KPIs, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and legal requirements.
  • Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability, manage budgets, and forecasts.
  • Foster development and career progression within teams, ensuring colleagues have the necessary skills and motivation, leading, coaching, and developing the team through learning and continuous feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless coordination and promote communication across different departments.
  • Be a role model of Company's purpose, promise, and values.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven work experience (> 10 years) as Operations Manager or similar role in metalworking or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of IT tools.
  • Leadership ability and team building skills.
  • Outstanding organisational skills.
