Job Title: Process Quality Engineer

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Process Quality Engineer to ensure the overall quality of manufactured products. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality audits, monitoring quality standards, leading internal scrap analysis, collecting and analyzing process data during root cause analysis, and working cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct process and LPA audits to verify process compliance to quality requirements.
  • Audit that the controls performed are in line with the control plan requirements: content, method, frequency, results & reaction to non-conformities.
  • Lead internal scrap analysis activities to support operations in maintaining production quality performances.
  • Collect production data and develop statistics to verify process and product stability.
  • Support the team during customer, process, and supplier complaints root cause analysis process.
  • Conduct process and product trials to determine failure responsibility attribution.
  • Support the industrialization team during line controls definition.
  • Participate in production line daily meetings.
Main Opportunities and Challenges

The Process Quality Engineer will have the opportunity to improve technological skills and competencies on high complexity products, work in a fast-paced environment with good visibility to internal and external stakeholders, and be part of a company that manufactures premium transmissions delivered to top automotive OEMs.

Job Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a University bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3-5 years of experience in the role, and Tier 1 automotive supplier experience. The candidate should be proficient in automotive core tools (APQP, FMEA, SPC, CP), have good knowledge of standard measuring devices, IATF16949 and Customer Specific requirements, and automotive manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes.

Soft Skills

The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, strong teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership skills, analytical and problem-solving attitude, proactive and strongly focused on results, and self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
