Job Summary

The Materials Buyer will be responsible for the purchasing activities of assigned Purchase Requisitions in compliance with Corporate and Project Procedures, under the supervision of the Purchasing Group Leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of bidder lists and commercial tabulation of suppliers' offers
  • Economic and contractual negotiation of orders and associated purchasing terms and conditions
  • Issue of Purchase Orders and any revisions
  • Support and cooperation with the Project Procurement Manager/Coordinator during the development of supplies in case of commercial problems with vendors
Requirements
  • Degree in a technical discipline (civil engineering)
  • 3-5 years of experience in buying technical materials in an engineering company or building equipment and systems
  • Design experience in engineering departments is appreciated
  • SAP knowledge for supply management
  • Fluent English speaker and writer
  • Availability to travel in Italy and abroad
