Senior Category Buyer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Category Buyer to join our procurement office in Piombino Dese, Italy. This role will report directly to the Procurement Manager and is responsible for managing direct materials procurement.

Key responsibilities include:

•Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.

•Budget savings: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency across the supply chain.

•Due dates and payment terms: Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers.

•TCO and make or buy decisions: Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) and make informed decisions about whether to produce or purchase goods.

•Quality claims: Investigate and resolve any quality issues with suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with 5-6 years of experience in a similar role. A university Master's degree in engineering or a scientific field is preferred, and full professional proficiency in Italian and English is required.

This position offers a competitive salary range of €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including health insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
