Job Title: Software Engineer

MTA S.p.A is an Italian company with an international presence, employing over 1800 people worldwide. Our mission is to contribute to society through the development of innovative products for sustainable mobility solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software for embedded automotive components, such as ECUs, displays, and instrument clusters.
  • Work on Linux kernel development, including device drivers, device tree, and bootloader.
  • Contribute to Linux user space development, focusing on unit systems, interprocess communication, and kernel-user space interfacing.
  • Utilize the Yocto build system for software development.
  • Apply cybersecurity principles to Linux, including dmverity, dmcrypt, and OPTEE.
  • Develop software for automotive SoC targets, such as TI, NXP, and Qualcomm-ARM architecture, using compilers like gcc, GHS, and clang.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in embedded system programming, including C, C++, Python, Qt, and Rust.
  • Knowledge of Linux kernel development, including device drivers, device tree, and bootloader.
  • Experience with Linux user space development, focusing on unit systems, interprocess communication, and kernel-user space interfacing.
  • Familiarity with the Yocto build system.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles applied to Linux, including dmverity, dmcrypt, and OPTEE.
  • Experience with automotive SoC targets, such as TI, NXP, and Qualcomm-ARM architecture, using compilers like gcc, GHS, and clang.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hardware skills, including the ability to read and understand schematics and datasheets.
  • Good communication skills in English, written and spoken.

Location: Codogno (LO), Rolo (RE), Turin (TO) with the possibility of remote work 8 days a month.
