We are seeking an experienced and dynamic System Operator to join our international team in Rome. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the data products system in a PDGS operational environment.
Key Responsibilities- System Monitoring and Control: Operate the Ground segment monitoring facility to assess the overall system behavior (performance, irregularities, etc.).
- Performance Analysis: Detect irregularities based on the routine analysis of defined performance indicators (by the analysis of the content of the reports generated and/or by the absence of report).
- Performance Refining: Refine the performance indicators to characterize the PDGS operations' completeness and performance.
- Problem Identification and Reporting: Identify and report to the customer any problem or incident.
- Anomaly Handling and Problem Solving: Investigate and solve anomalies related to ground segment operations.
- EO Data Products Management: Manage Earth Observation (EO) data products and auxiliary files.
- Systematic Generation of EO Data Products Monitoring and Control: Systematically generate EO data products monitoring and control.
- EO Data Products and Auxiliary File Knowledge: Strong knowledge of EO data products and auxiliary files.
- Linux O.S and Native Shell Scripting: Proficiency in Linux O.S and native shell scripting.
- System Operation and Maintenance: Run, operate, and monitor the system according to performance parameters.
- Service Desk and Second-Line Support: Provide service desk and second-line support.
- Corrective Maintenance: Perform corrective maintenance (at least for blocking problems).
- Java Programming: Experience in Java programming.
- SQL Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SQL.
