Job Description

Aventa Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Coordination: Continuously interface with clients, actively participate in project management meetings, and ensure timely project delivery.
  2. Documentation Management: Prepare project documentation, including progress reports, minutes of meetings, and lookahead programmes.
  3. Permitting and Compliance: Act as the main interface with permitting managers, participate in meetings with land owners, authorities, and asset owners, and ensure compliance with HSE policies and regulations.
  4. Subcontractor Management: Manage project subcontractors involved in activities such as cable landfall assistance, HDD construction, civil works, and marine survey.
  5. Lessons Learned: Collect and document lessons learned from project experiences.
Requirements
  1. Education: Master's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Project Engineer for major Oil & Gas EPC Contractors or Civil Contractors, preferably involved in projects comprising engineering, procurement, and installation of HV cables.
  3. Skills: Familiarity with the procurement process, technical bid evaluation, and experience in preparing engineering and project management documentation.
  4. Language: Proficiency in English.
  5. Software: Proficiency in MS Project and AutoCAD.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience: 2-3 years of experience on site supervising construction civil works, preferably with National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) or Scottish & Southern Electricity Network (SSEN).
  2. Knowledge: Good knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, National Grid Electricity Transmission Design Management Requirements, and BS 5975 Temporary Works Procedure.
