Job Description

The ideal candidate possesses strong legal knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to apply these skills effectively without disrupting Paymentology's growth. They should have a passion for law, excellent oral and written English communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively with geographically distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored, commercially astute legal advice and recommendations on the legality, lawfulness, and enforceability of contracts across Paymentology's product offerings and jurisdictions.
  • Help find solutions to ensure lawfulness and compliance while supporting business continuity.
  • Collaborate in developing best practices to uphold legal standards and processes within the business.
  • Have a broad understanding of key legal risks and manage them effectively in collaboration with other teams.
  • Review and draft contracts, letters, and other legal documents.
  • Provide training and mentoring to upskill others.
  • Work with external counsel and relay feedback from external sources to internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct legal research and leverage findings to advise the business strategically.

Salary Estimate: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Travel requirements are less than 5%.
