Job Overview:

At Illumia, we are seeking a dedicated professional to become a part of our Intraday Trading Desk, where you will thrive in a vibrant and fast-evolving market atmosphere.

In this position, you will engage in the development, optimization, and execution of trading strategies across European short-term power markets.

You will play a crucial role in enhancing our algorithmic trading systems, contributing significantly to our quantitative analysis team. Success in this role requires a strong aptitude for numerical analysis and logical problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute trades on Day-Ahead and Intraday Power Markets throughout Europe; Actively participate in the creation of algorithmic trading and quantitative models; Formulate and implement daily and intraday trading strategies; Gain an in-depth understanding of the fundamental factors influencing the power market; Offer constructive and transparent feedback;

Required Qualifications:

A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field; A minimum of 1 year of experience in an intraday power trading capacity; Proficiency in Excel, Python, and VBA;
