About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Bloq, a leading smart locker solution provider. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for our hardware products, ensuring mechanical precision and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed 3D models of hardware components and systems using CAD software.
  • Create comprehensive engineering drawings that accurately represent mechanical designs and specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize mechanical designs from concept to production.
  • Support the prototyping process by creating accurate models and drawings for prototype fabrication.
  • Work closely with the testing team to ensure designs meet performance, durability, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, modifications, and project progress.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Address and resolve mechanical design challenges through innovative solutions and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in the context of hardware or consumer products.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with FEA tools.
  • Strong ability to create precise and detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive design innovation and improve mechanical performance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to multidisciplinary projects.
