Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Control Technician to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our Lyo & Pharma Utilities Department, you will be responsible for managing the freeze-drying equipment, ensuring accurate operation of the systems, and monitoring the functioning of our primary services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the lyo equipment, perform routine checks, and analyze graphs and trends of critical parameters to ensure optimal freeze-drying process performance.
  • Compile and collect GMP documentation, including batch records, logbooks, and alarm printouts, to maintain accurate records of production and distribution.
  • Accurately complete machine sheets, daily activity recording, and information transfer/shift change sheets to ensure seamless communication and data tracking.
  • Monitor the functioning of our primary services, including water and clean steam distribution, to ensure compliance with pharmaceutical standards.
  • Respond to alarms and notifications, understanding their meaning and taking corrective action according to established procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, reporting any anomalies or issues to your manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior work experience necessary, but a strong foundation in physics and chemistry is essential.
  • Soft knowledge of PLC and automation, refrigeration techniques, and office software (Word and Excel) is preferred.
  • Excellent team working skills and physical ability to work in a dynamic and engaging environment.
