At Bonatti, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Quality Specialist to join our team in Italy. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of welding quality across all our projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in welding inspection and quality control. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all welding operations meet the required specifications, codes, and standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Elaborate and coordinate welding specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Work with field subcontractors to develop welding procedure specifications and procedures qualification reports.
  • Review the effects of welding defects and implement remedial actions.
  • Review radiographic film and NDT reports on a daily basis.
  • Audit approved Third Party NDT Inspection Company.
  • Witness welder qualifications testing and procedures qualification testing.
  • Review inspection and testing methods and procedures for Radiographic, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Ultrasonic inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution.
Requirements
  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience (Certifications: AWS, CSWIP, HND, HNC, or NVQ).
  • Extensive familiarity with welding works with at least 5 years of experience as a Welding Inspector.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with Onshore power plant experience preferred.
