Job Title: Behavioural Science Specialist

FAO is seeking a Behavioural Science Specialist to support the implementation of formative behavioural science research, literature reviews, and scoping exercises. The successful candidate will provide expertise in applied behavioural science, including behavioural assessments, barrier and lever analysis, running experiments, lab-in-the-field, and other forms of applied research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of formative behavioural science research, literature reviews, and scoping exercises.
  • Apply behavioural insights to different programmatic areas across FAO.
  • Support teams in the implementation of the application of behavioural science by a stepwise approach.
  • Pilot and field-work experience applying behavioural principles in agriculture-related programmes.
  • Enable the uptake of innovations in vulnerable communities with exposure to contexts in the Global South.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Behavioural Science, Behavioural Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in applied behavioural science.
  • Experience supporting, coordinating, or leading behaviour change projects.
  • Pilot and field-work experience applying behavioural principles in agriculture-related programmes.
  • Experience enabling the uptake of innovations in vulnerable communities with exposure to contexts in the Global South.
