About the Role

The Dta Distretto Tecnologico Aerospaziale Scarl is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Development Specialist to drive the HW development in design, validation, and testing of embedded systems for avionics. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development of mixed signals HW boards for full authority-based (e.g. FADEC) and hybrid electric-based propulsion systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing and documenting electronic and electrical components, complex assemblies, and subsystems requirements and designs relevant to electronic signal and control processing units and boards.
  • Carrying out trade-off and performance analysis and validation studies to draw optimal electronic assembly/sub-assembly architectural solutions and detailed designs.
  • Supporting testing and validation activities of electrical components, complex assemblies, and subsystems, up to the final stages of Control System integration.
  • Liaising with engineering team stakeholders in project development, product definition, and technology maturation activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Electronics (preferred), Electrical and Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Ability to analyze, define, and validate project requirements.
  • Ability to analyze analog/digital HW schematic diagrams and component datasheets.
  • Good knowledge of electronic modeling and ECAD tools.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, programmable devices like microcontroller, FPGA, or SoC, buses and standards for on-board and board-to-board communication, eCAD for HW design and simulation, test instruments, EMI aspects, sensors, electrical design, HW interfacing, and acquisition.
  • Basic knowledge of electromechanical actuators.
  • Proficiency in written and oral English and Italian.
