Position Overview

The role of a BIM Specialist is crucial in the realm of Building Information Modeling, which encompasses various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, and automation. This position is integral to asset information management, life cycle information, design coordination, and software engineering, particularly in relation to reference designation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing BIM Engineering processes to ensure comprehensive information integration across multiple disciplines.
  • Leading innovative solutions for intricate projects and addressing challenges effectively.
  • Overseeing the completion of all BIM Engineering tasks associated with projects and tenders.
  • Facilitating engineering discipline coordination through BIM Coordination meetings in alignment with ISO19650 standards.
  • Providing technical assistance for testing, installation, and commissioning through the utilization of BIM tools and Common Data Environment.
  • Designing and executing experiments, along with analyzing and interpreting data using Revit or Dynamo.
  • Preparing thorough BIM project documentation within the designated area of responsibility.
  • Acting as a design authority for specific engineering disciplines and completing relevant engineering assignments.
  • Delivering cost-effective, high-quality solutions while adhering to budgetary constraints and contractual obligations.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and proactively mitigating potential risks.
  • Creating detailed work plans and cost estimates, while reviewing and approving project scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Engaging directly with clients, officials, contractors, and supply chain partners.
  • Embodying core values of safety and integrity, demonstrating accountability for actions while supporting colleagues and the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration among all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of BIM methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in coordination tools such as Navisworks or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of interdependencies among various engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project discipline leaders.
  • Industry-specific knowledge of Hitachi Energy solutions is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English languages.
